The waves were a great challenge to paint, having to leave the paper unpainted for the ‘whites’ but I’m particularly pleased with the wave crashing onto Will’s Rock; the surfers by contrast look very small and vulnerable in the sea and I noticed and detailed the dog (bottom right) thinking better of it and heading back to dry land.
