Whenever I paint at Fishing Cove Field I always look forward to seeing what patterns the falling tide has left behind. On this occasion there were numerous sweeping curves outlining the drying sand, beautifully set off against the blue reflections. They reminded me very much of the swooping flights of the sand martins, which nest in the sandy cliffs close by.
