When I first arrived on the cliffs and saw all this surf crashing onto the rocks below Trebetherick Point, I almost gave up and went to look for somewhere else to paint. In the end I thought I would give it a go and maybe just try and paint some of the waves, which miraculously turned out well. I came back another day to add Pentire and a sky to the painting and that seemed to work too so I carried on for a third day and added the foreground rocks. I really like it and am pleased I just didn’t go home.
