This must be one of the loveliest views in the South Hams. The river Avon, as it nears the sea, makes a huge S-shaped meander as the sand dunes at Bantham block its easy route to the ocean. Jenkins Quay (the thatched red building) is built in the lea of these dunes, making a very picturesque backdrop for the sunlit boats that are moored up in the river .
