I painted this in early summer and chose a nearly square format so that I could include the high breezy sky, which I painted quickly using plenty of water to suggest some high cirrus clouds and to give some soft edges. The waves at Constantine, rolling in from the Atlantic are pretty good for surfing or for me and lots of other sea lovers, just to watch and admire.
