The beach as it reaches the sea on this side of the Camel Estuary is really quite massive when the tide is low and even when there are lots of people about, it’s possible to imagine you have the shoreline to yourself. Off in the distance is Stepper Point, with its quarried-out tip, excavated to help boats under sail navigate their way safely up the Camel.
