I well remember seeing this tiny church for the first time and wondering what it was doing in the middle of a golf course. Little did I realise that it was just where it should be, in the middle of a small village, though that village has been buried in sand since the 16th century. The church, popular for weddings is most well known as the final resting place of the poet laureate John Betjeman.
