I painted this sitting on the beach at Daymer Bay, towards the end of August on a lovely sunny day, looking out across the sea to the familiar face of Stepper Point. The air was full of the sounds of kids playing, with families camped up for the day below the cliffs. Daymer Bay at its summer holiday best.
