This is Daymer in midsummer with barely enough room for all the tents on the beach when the tide is high. It would seem that every family now owns some kind of craft to get them onto the sea and I spent a few anxious moments away from my painting with my binoculars checking on the ones being blown out to sea! The picture is full of activity, not only with the people on the beach but also the steady stream of walkers making their way up the flank of Brea Hill. And far above all this business I noticed the cattle grazing in the fields beyond the golf course right up on the skyline. A quiet title for a busy painting.
