I painted this from my favourite spot on the cliffs at Fisherman’s Cove at Daymer Bay, looking straight across the estuary to Harbour Cove with Crugmeer clearly visible on the skyline. I paid particular attention to the field patterns and picked out the detail of the round black bales left after hay-making.
