After the river Tavy passes through the confines of Tavy Cleave, it moves on south-west down a broad valley towards Tavistock. In the distance White Tor can be seen rising through the mist. I am particularly happy with the composition of this picture, with the trees on the bank and the pool under them forming a very solid focal point that anchors the great expanse of the picture; the viewer's eye moving easily from the sunlit bank in the foreground to the trees and then way off to the distant tor.
