Looking south from South Sands there is a lovely view out past Splat Cove Point to the rugged coastline that leads eventually to Prawl Point. I have made the sunlit sails on the beach the focal point of the painting and have given a great deal of consideration to the patterns in the sand and the placing of the small figures.
