Mill Bay is one of the small sandy coves across the water from Salcombe. I have painted the scene with the low, late-afternoon light glinting on the sea. In the distance a gaff-rig ghosts home on a light breeze, while a family is hard at work constructing a monumental sand castle; summer at its best.
