Small Laburnum Closed Form-Ref 51

Laburnum is one of Britains most beautiful hardwoods though it rarely grows to any size .This small piece was turned from a smallish branch with the centre of the branch running right  through the middle of the bowl.An attractive  dark 'star' radiates out from the pith, a figure that is characteristic  of this timber . It is a lovely little ornamental form which benifits greatly from the natural lip .
