This  elegant ash bowl was made  from a storm-felled tree that had been down for several years, as a result most of the seasoning had already been done and the bowl has dried with very little movement and is almost perfectly round . The heart wood can be easily identified by its dark colour and its clear that the bowl has been turned 'across the grain. It has a lovely rim which fits well in the hand and would be a pleasure to use on a regular basis .
