Woodturning by Mark Gibbons
I have always loved the beauty of wood and as a kid spent hours hiding out in the woodwork room at school. A few years ago I aquired a large lathe from a friend and now find myself quite addicted. Several local farmers have kindly given me timber from storm-felled trees so I can now 'turn' to my heart's content, and I spend many evenings in my barn ,up to my ankles in wood shavings thoroughly enjoying the process of creation (and the wonderful smells).
I have held several successful exhibitions and feel the time has come to add 'woodturning' to my other artistic endevours. Here are the results.(oh and by the way I made the chair too)
