Low-Tide, Daymer Bay LF09-018

(Watercolour) I painted this watercolour from my fisherman's tent ,pitched up on the grassy cliffs behind the Daymer Bay car park. It shows the view looking south past Brea Hill on the left and out across the estuary to Padstow. With the tide completely out I had to work fast to define the sea/sand/ reflections.I am particularly pleased with this picture ; I think it captures the 'light' and the 'expansive' quality of the scene very well.
